Holidays

You know the holidays are here and I have no clue what I should get anyone... or even who to shop for. I mean I have a lot of friends but they are not at all close by and I feel weird sending gifts without seeing reactions and such (because, you know, it's all about me dammit ;P) That and I dunno I feel that we are so far apart distance wise that I don't really feel as connected as I want to with them. The most important thing for me though is getting a feeling of what people want by being near them. I mean I want to give someone something they want but not necessarily something they directly ask for. That's how I always got the best gifts for my mom. Because I hung out with her a lot I just knew what she wanted because of off hand remarks and such. So I dunno I'm sure I'll think of something for my friends. But now the people I am around a lot is even harder. My BF and I usually do joint gifts... But I really still feel like I wanna get him something (since he already got us something jointly). I was thinking at first an iPod but he already got himself that... now I just don't know. I did pick up a new coat for myself online... hopefully it isn't a POS but really that's not a gift for myself I needed a new one. I really don't know anything else I would want either since if I want something I would usually get it myself or rethink it if it's too expensive. Why do the holidays make it harder to get gifts for someone rather than easier :P

Anyway why don't I ask everyone else... What do you want for the holidays besides the obvious world peace and such. Even better if it was just for yourself and had a monetary amount below $50 what would you want?
