Writing Inspirations
Sep. 7th, 2010 01:04 pmWhen I went to Maryland two weeks ago I decided to pick up a book or two, which I don't know why travel always makes me want to read but that's beside the point. One of these books was "The Shadow of the Wind".
So far it has really inspired me because it takes simple words and makes them complex... Hmmm maybe there's a better way to explain it. When I write I like to use words everyone knows rather than having to make them run for a dictionary every few minutes. This book is done that simply, but the way it uses those words is amazing and inspiring.

Apparently it was written in Spanish originally (which I am completely not surprised about) so that makes the writer and the translator both awesome in my book. Anyway this book has hugely inspired me to write again.
It's funny to say this (since it has been said in the book a number of times itself) that it felt like the book called out to me when I saw it, and once I started reading it I could understand why.
Anyway because of this I will probably write more soon. Not sure what exactly but thinking a mystery of sorts. At this point though I want to write just to see what comes about not plan anything major in the course of it.
