So I priced out how much it'd be going to Columbia for 4 years. $200,000.
Ouch!
Ummmm Yeah I wish I could afford that. The sad thing thinking about it most colleges are going to be about as expensive though.
The thing is I need a change. Something inside me has clicked recently and I need to do something to better myself. Staying in this dull, yet stable job is not going to help me change as I can see it will really lead me no where. I mean when you are passed up for a senior position at work from someone who was hired after you because you don't really have the "skills" to be the senior person and then get treated like an outcast after this person gets hired... yeah no room to grow here.
But since work for now is a no go there are other things in my life I want to change. After returning from SC I found I had gained 6 lbs. 6... In a week... I am soooooo not happy about that. Also my tonsils have been bothering me as well as my back since being there. There's only one course of action then. I need to change my diet big time. Cut out most sugars (been doing that with High Fructose Corn Syrup), cut out anything fried (that one will be tough), eat as many natural things as possible (as I have come to notice improvements in my general health when I have), and most importantly EXERCISE! (Yelling at myself excuse me). There's, at most, 60lbs I want to get rid of or at least replace with muscle. And sitting around on my butt all day is not going to help it.
I have done some minor changes already though.
I've started walking to the red line from my work rather than taking the brown/purple lines to the red line further down.
I've been packing my lunches... or well bringing in food to make lunch at work.
I've gone most natural with my lunch, natural breads, natural meats, natural snacks.
I think today I'm also going to start getting one stop of early and walk the rest of the way home, even though my current stop is less than a block away from my house. Next week I will start going to the gym at work.
So yeah hopefully I can get some progress on that at least, if anything it will make me feel like I am doing something to change my life.
