Living in History

Today for the first time in a very long time I have hope for this country.

It's funny that one man could provide this hope. A man by all means has struggled to get to this position and will struggle more to get this country into shape.

Before this man all I felt was apathy, like every candidate was the same, like it was just a mirror image of the same person trying to win. It was always "the lesser of two evils" and never someone to believe in.

This man brought hope to a people who sorely needed it, hope that we can all be better than ourselves, and strive for a better life for ourselves and others. This man makes me feel as if there is something more to life than just living it.

The most impressive thing of all though is that the people allowed him to be president and allowed hope to win out.

This election proves that all men are created equal, even if most of us already knew it, and that with hope everything is possible.

Congratulations President Obama.

Let's Hope this four to eight years are as great as they feel like they will be.
