I never really wanted an iPod because I never really listened to music much that and I felt that paying two the three hundred dollars for a device it should do more than just play music. So when the iPod Touch came out I fell in love with it. I was tempted to get the iPhone but with my current cell phone company couldn't do it and didn't want to switch to AT&T so the iPod Touch was a great substitute.

Originally I was a bit disappointed that the Touch was the same thing as the iPhone minus the phone but didn't have the same basic software especially adding items to the calender. Luckily that was fixed with one of the updates.

When I saw that they were finally adding all the same software to iPod Touch I was estatic... until I saw that there was a price. What I don't understand is how can something that is generally the same software wise cost something on one system but not cost something on another? I mean in truth I don't really mind paying for new software if everyone pays (although personally I think the $20 price is still a bit much for it). But letting new users get it for free and letting iPhone users get the same thing in a free update makes me a bit upset.

Basically I'm upset that because I bought my iPod Touch early that I get charged for software that should have been on the system from the beginning and no one else besides other early iPod Touch owners.

Thanks for the great product but please see to taking care of your early adopters of this awesome product.
