Okay I just have a few things to bitch about:
First things first, The iPod Touch is not and iPhone. So stop comparing the two of them. I mean really yes it has some of the same functions and it looks similar but it's not the same.
Everyone knew when the iPhone came out that there would be an iPod to match or come close, but I never thought it would be better than the iPhone. In fact I figured it wouldn't be. You know why? Well they made the iPhone for one reason... TO SELL! They did not make it so i could be made obsolete by a product they would come out with two months later.
So yeah iPod Touch =/= iPhone.
Okay now that that's out of the way some minor bitching.
I read this book a couple of days ago called "The Looking Glass Wars". I really though I would like it because it was based on Alice in Wonderland. But it was not to be so.
The concept was to have the story of Alice be something skewed because the real Alice was born in Wonderland and has powerful magic imagination and the Mad Hatter was a body guard who was sent to protect her but lost her on earth. Her Aunt was the evil red queen and took over wonderland after killing Alice's parents.
The Reality was something else entirely. It started off well but basically because a book where there was no character development whatsoever so all of the characters were flat and felt like stereotypes of all the typical characters in the modern day fantasy. The was the evil queen who was EVIL!!!!!!!!! And the good character who only wanted revenge. And etc etc. Secondly it was one battle after another. It almost felt like a RPG Final Fantasy style... with less story. I basically finished the book because I was almost to the end but the more I read of it the more I really hated it. And the more I realized that I used to write very similarly when I was younger.
And the last thing there was a magazine that came in today at work that was called "The Man's Book" and it looked something like GQ but ended up being one giant advertisement for Mixies (male version of Trixies and if you don't know what a Trixie is look it up on Wikipedia). I mean all the magazine had was where to buy stuff to make you look all fancy (not that we can't find that one our own and not pay a few thousand to do it).
Anyway that's all my bitching for now. I feel much better :3
