I haven't done this in a while.
Feb. 16th, 2006 08:02 amOkay since I have been neglecting my LJ for a bit I thought I would post on the happenings of late.
Moving
Jason and I are moving into our own place. In fact we are doing so relatively soonish. Like next weekend. well at least we can do it nect weekend. I thin we will start moving the small boxes and smaller stuff there first and then, after I request a weekend off, move the bigger stuff and move on in then. Hopefully since we have a bit more time than we thought we will have net set up and it won't be too hard of a transition. I know Jason and I would have a hard time without internets.

I am working on the Vividimagination Magazine again. If none of you have heard it before then let me explain. The magazine is an idea I have had for a very long time based of the http://www.vividimagination.net website. The website is nothing pretty to look at now but I will probably try to redirect the main page to the magazine when we get it set up. Anyway what it would be basically to start off with is a magazine for students or for people who haven't be published to get their foot in the door. This is not only a writing magazine but an art one as well. We will combine them together and give suggestions, critiques, and help people get published by publishing in our site/mag. I'm hopeing to try and get an actual magazine out of this. I have actually been helped a lot from a friend on http://www.gaiaonline.com for this as well. She has been very helpful and sees exactly what I want to do with it. Not only that but she is just as excited about it as I am. If I had someone this excited about it before I would have had this out and running a long time ago.
Roommates
Okay not to be bitchy or anything but one of my roommates is very childish. Really we think he's a bit pissy because the other wants to move to the suburbs and he doesn't but we're not totally sure. Either way he's acting very childish as of late. He's blamed us fr things that are rather pointless and inane. For Example, we have a back porch that has a light and it also lights the back stairway. Well one night it was off and I went back there to get a plastic back so I turned the light on then when done with it turned it back off and he accuses me of turning the lights off on him while he climing the stairs because I knew he was back there. It rather pisses me off that someone should be so childish. If I knew he were back there I wouldn't have turned the light back off. It's other things like this that are bothersome as well. It just makes me glad to be getting out of here soon.
Target
I really like Target although I still should find another job. They were supposed to interview me last week about a Cash Office position which so far they never have. I don't know why I have negelcted looking for another job. Part of it is the possibility of this position of Cash Office (and the decent hours that entails) and the other part is because I'm tired of being rejected for being myself. So I don't have all the right answers for the stupid questions you have but you can't really judge a person by questions. You judge them by how long they have been at a position, how well they do their work, etc. Just because they say I work great with a team and this, one time we did this doesn't mean they, one, actually did that and two, did any work with the team either. I really fell like next time they go into the 20 questions like that I should go "Look. I don't remember very many times about teamwork because I work in a team all the time. In retail you are constantly a team. If you are done with your work you go help someone else. When someone else really needs help you put your work asisde for a moment and help them. That's what teamwork is all about and that's what retail is all about."
Car Show
Yay cars are cool. :P Well the car show was decent. I'd have to say I was disappointed from the lack of concept cars and the whole hey look at this car that looks like every other car we have, doesn't it look better than every other car we have, mentality of it all. The coolest part about it was the Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge section. They actually had test rides on their vehicles. And when I mean test ride I literally mean test ride. The jeep section was the coolest because it looked like a rollercoaster built for a car. Huge inclines and equally huge declines bumbs and everything. It looked sweet. I think the rest of the companies should have done that because man it really wanted me to test ride and possibly get interested in their vehicles. The most annoying thing of the show, though, was the annoying clickers that were given away at the highway safty desk for wearing your safty belts. It was bad because every little kid had one and was using them constantly. I thing the parents got tired of them at one point because on the North side there were very few of them being used but on the south side they were everywhere.
So yeah that's about all I can think of at the moment. I'll post some more news when we move in and what we are doing with the place and possible moving parties and such.
