I have had a comic book idea laying around for a very long time and recently tried to get a coworker to help me bring it to life. Unfortunately, as I pretty much figured, nothing happened. She recently though came to me and stated that she wanted to do it again for a website project for one of her classes. So I basically said that would be cool.

Anyway now I have to write up five pages of this comic book for her to draw so she can add it to a website and possibly her resume site. That's no big deal and all because I have been wanting to actually work on this thing and it seems the only way I get inspired to do it is if I am in class or have some sort of deadline for it.

But why I am even posting it is because I thought of a new way to write it one that I am not really fully used to. The comic itself is a detective series based around three women (two cops one detective) who are enlisted to solve the crime of a murdered cop. I'm basing it in Chicago since I live here and it would be easier to see things than someplace I have never been before. But the way I am going to write it is in a semi Film Noir style. The reason is the detective likens her style to that era and because it would just be interesting. I guess it could be very Batman-esque but not really because I am going to have the detective narrate the story in a sense. Either way this new enthusiasm I have for it should be used before I loose it.

Also don't worry still on the search for the new job.
