So I decided I really want to try another website again because I really like playing around with them, but this time I want to be serious about it. I think I want to make it an actual job and not some fake "I wanna do this" kind-of thing.

It does have a little bit to do with my non-used cyan gear site and probably will try to drag another old .com that I have (which I need to get transferred to me).

But I have a new domain which I won't give out fully publically just yet (as it has nothing there anyway).

Anyway this idea is a combination of a past idea and a little bit of a new idea all rolled into one. Years ago I played around with a site called Vividimagination. It was an art site that was truly awesome. Since then I have grown a bit bit still miss it, not because of the site itself but because... I feel that I am more of a muse type than I am a doer. In other words I love coming up with the ideas but can never seem to follow though (with anything it seems). I tried very hard though with Vividimagination though, as much as someone without many skills and no actual art could do. In the end it failed and the name is now gone and I have not moved on but have revised and renewed my ideals about it.

I want my new website to be a creative muse for people. I want people to share their art, look for people to help them (e.g. an artist who wants a writer for a comic or vice versa, a designer who is looking for a sewer, Someone who has an idea and wants to put them into being), education and in the end sales to help these people market themselves.

Putting it in writing makes it a lot bigger than messaging a few people about it. Anyway This is what I want to accomplish. I would hope to get some people to help me with it but from experience I know that usually doesn't happen. So this is what I will be seriously working on for now.

It always seems that whenever I create a website updating it regularly becomes a bit of a burden...

Yeah I tend to have that problem as well. Generally because no one goes to the site. Going to have to figure out a way to peak everyones interest on this one.

Oh man. @_@ No one's mentioned VI in forever. Those were the days man, those were the days. I forgot that's where I met you.

Those were the days. Funny those were the times I felt most creative too. Which in a sense is why I want to make something similar.

Also I really miss VIs ISes XD

I miss the ISes like you wouldn't believe. I've considered adapting one or two into MLP fanfiction. XD

Speaking of which, I reconnected with one old VIer via ponies recently, if you remember Triptych?

Me too. I still have been trying to write my own story for Clockwork Flats (still dealing with Alexandra Caesar) but haven't gotten it off the ground yet. Have the ideas for it brewing though.

I remember Tripp. Surprised that Ponies would reconnect you but not really by much XD.

I don't think I ever got into Clockwork Flats. Or that samurai one. All I remember is like... BVGC and Casino and stuff. Some of which might have even been before VI's time; I've still got archives on some of them too!

And yeah, one of the few people I've kept in contact with is Spot, and Trip's one of his friends, so when I got into ponies, Spot was like, "You need to meet this guy" and then DIDN'T TELL ME WHO IT WAS, the jerk. :| It was fun though, meeting up with someone again like that.

I don't remember a samurai one but think think the last one we did was the mobius twist world which I though was an awesome concept. I still have the Casino archives and a couple of others which I will probably set up on the new site once I get it up.

I did go over to Kupopolis for a while but they seemed to be slowly dispersing as well.

After them you're really the only one I have kept in contact with from the old group.

Yeah, I did a bunch of IWs over at Kupop but I could never get into it. Ah well, I've got my EQD pre-reader buddies now. :V Feels good, man.

Yeah I could never fully get into it either. Mainly because there seemed to be a ton of history and hard to introduce new characters and get involved. Also I never could get the hang of the IW.

As for EQD... I would give if it a try if I had more experience with the Ponies themselves... but not much into Fanfiction. The last time I did something like that was for pokemorphs and in truth it had nothing really to do with pokemon XD

Funny... MY last fanfic before ponies was pokemorphs as well. Were you also in the PCA?

Date: 2011-09-24 01:48 am (UTC)From: [identity profile]
Unfortunately there are no records of the old site that I did my Pokemorphs on (it's been quite a long time). But the basis was the world had some crisis where people had to leave or die and the pokemon evolved from that.

Sounds... similar-ish. I think there was a suggestion in the PCAverse that humans had existed once.

Well humans still exist they just weren't on earth anymore.
